1939 New York City World's Fair, ('39NYWF) Bakelite Molded Ashtray, Vintage

Description

A wonderful example of the first moldable plastic: Bakelite. Molded in high relief, it features the Trylon and Perisphere.
It is one of the myriad types of souvenirs
taken away by the throngs of visitors to the '39NYWF. If this fair is your area of collecting, you can't be without it. The last photo (the bottom of this piece) shows two things: at the top left, you will see a small shallow chip, and around the inside arc the maker is identified. The font is so tiny that all my eyes can make out is "Brooklyn".
