    BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND AND UP FOR CONSIDERATION IS THE R.P.O. N-36 TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN OPTION FOR A 1965 OR 1966 CORVETTE.
    EVERY TELE COLUMN I DO IS COMPLETELY RESTORED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM, INSIDE AND OUT.  EACH AND EVERY PIECE IS REFINISHED OR PLATED AS ORIGINAL.  THIS LISTING IS FOR A COMPLETE SET UP AND INCLUDES THE ODOMETER RETRIP BRACKET AND MOUNTING HARDWARE.  ALSO INCLUDED IS A RESTORED AND FULLY RIVETED RAG JOINT OR COUPLER THAT IS UNIQUE TO THIS OPTION AND IS DIFFICULT TO LOCATE IN SATISFACTORY, USABLE CONDITION.  YOUR PURCHASE INCLUDES A NEW HORN BUTTON, CHROME LOCK RING WITH THE PLASTIC RING INSULATOR, AND TURN SIGNAL HANDLE.  I TYPICALLY REPLACE THE SWITCH ASSEMBLY AND INSTALL A NEW LOWER MAIN SHAFT WITH PRECISION CUT SPLINES.  EVERY COLUMN COMES WITH A CORRECT COLOR AND PROPER LENGTH WIRING RIBBON.  IF YOU USE THE NEW WIRING, WHICH IS USUALLY AN INCORRECT SOLID COLOR WIRE RIBBON, IT IS TOO SHORT AND WILL NOT CONNECT TO THE MAIN HARNESS CORRECTLY AND WILL UNSAFELY DANGLE DOWN LOOSE!
    I PROVIDE YOU WITH A MULTI PAGE SET OF DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS FOR AN EASY AND ENJOYABLE INSTALL.  MY RESTORATIONS ARE CURRENTLY INSTALLED ON SEVERAL BLOOMINGTON GOLD AND TOP FLIGHT CORVETTES.  FOR OWNERS ATTEMPTING THE DIFFICULT N.C.R.S. PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION TEST, YOUR TELE COLUMN WILL PROPERLY FUNCTION AS DESIGNED AND AS EXPECTED!  THANK YOU.
    (ADDED ON JANUARY 18, 2021). I HAVE HAD SEVERAL MEMBERS ASK ME IF I WILL SELL THEM THE
    COUPLER/RAG JOINT INDEPENDENTLY AND THE ANSWER IS NO.  I PROVIDE ESSENTIALLY A BRAND NEW PIECE.
    IT TAKES SEVERAL HOURS TO CLEAN, REFINISH, AND ASSEMBLE THE COUPLER USING CORRECT HARDWARE. THERE IS A TRICK TO IT THAT I HAVE DEVELOPED FROM TRIAL AND ERROR AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO DO IN ORDER TO GET IT RIGHT.
    I WILL ALSO NOT SELL A USED COUPLER.  VERY FEW TELE COUPLERS HAVE SURVIVED IN USABLE CONDITION. THEY ARE OVER 55 YEARS OLD AND HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO ENGINE HEAT, OIL, GASOLINE AND THE ELEMENTS. THE NATURAL RUBBER RAG MATERIAL USUALLY RIPS OUT UNDER THE REINFORCEMENT KEEPERS AND IS HARD TO DETECT.  MY COUPLERS ARE NEW AND SAFE AND I USE ORIGINAL UPPER AND LOWER FORGINGS.
    INSTALLING A USED COUPLER IS FOOLISH AND UNWISE NOT TO MENTION DANGEROUS.
