Crosby Excel Saddle 17" Medium tree

Lovely gem of a saddle ready for its new owner!
Crosby Excel all purpose saddle with a 17" deeper seat, and a medium tree. The semi-deep seat with high cantle and cushy knee rolls keeps you secure in the saddle. The cutback wither and generous channel helps this saddle fit a variety of horses. The foam flocking is still soft and pliable. Flaps measure 14" long and 14" across.
Was used for training green thoroughbreds for jumping, eventing, etc. Perfect starter saddle, trail saddle, someone who works with babies/greenies, etc., but still nice enough for local shows, lessons, foxhunting, etc.
Flaws:
Normal signs of wear throughout. Spider cracking, rub marks, chew marks, nameplate, dings on the cantle, wear on the billets and seat. A friend borrowed it and used bling pants which left rubs on the seat. There is also a small slit in seat on the stitching, shown in the pictures.
This saddle is stamped 1974 (!!) but it does not ride like a saddle that old, nor does it have a super narrow channel like most old saddles. This Crosby is comfortable and secure enough that I would regularly choose it over my County!
Sadly selling because I no longer do that type of riding and I can't justify letting it sit in my house. It comes with CWD leathers and Horseware plastic irons. Pad not included. The leathers are well loved and have wear.
