    Description

Vintage Hollydale Pottery Chicken of the Sea Casserole Set of 4 casseroles, one stand, and 3 salt and pepper shakers.  These are often thought to be Bauer pottery but they were actually produced by Hollydale Pottery in California (see online article about these fish).  Hollydale was in business from 1935 to 1959 - these are manufactured likely late 1940s early 1950s.  I have seen several different box styles (no box for these), they were very popular and sold over several years.  Green, blue and yellow lids have very small rim chips inside from use, but don't show when on casserole base.  The blue lid has a re-glued chip on top (see pic). Small rough spot/chip on tail of green fish.  Red fish in excellent condition.  Three perfect salt and peppers are included, no corks.  Stand is rusted and missing one wood peg.  Total of 12 pieces.  Bottom marking says:  "Made in California, Chicken of the Sea, Tuna Baker and Salad Server, Pat[ent]..."  Rest of patent number/or pending info obscured by glaze.
Size is approximately 8 inches long, 3.5 inches wide, and 4.5 inches high. S&Ps are approx. 3 x1.5 x2 inches.
    Sold As-Is - no returns.
